Welcome to the All Saints Alumni Page!
At All Saints School, we are proud of the journeys our students take after their time with us. As a small SEND school, we value the unique achievements of every individual and love to celebrate their successes beyond the classroom. This space is dedicated to keeping our former students connected with the school community, sharing their stories, and inspiring current pupils with what is possible.

Jamie McBride
Jamie is the founder of Project Apis CIC and the lead beekeeper behind Gorleston Apiary.
“I joined All Saints Lessingham in 2008 and left in 2013 after Year 11. The small class sizes gave learning a real one-to-one feel, which definitely helped me (especially as I wasn’t always the best behaved student!). That support gave me the confidence to follow my passions, and today I run Gorleston Apiary and Project Apis CIC, bringing communities together through beekeeping.”

Jess Gladwell
“All Saints has helped me to become more confident in myself and to always keep trying when I find something difficult and to always believe in myself.
I have learned better communication skills during my time at All Saints and have managed to make life long friends. The support at All Saints is really helpful and the guidance is all I could ever have asked for during my time there. My last day with All Saints was the most scary thing that could have happened. I got up the courage to speak in-front of the whole church/school about my time there and it has pushed me to where I can now speak publicly.
I am now into my second year at city college and in the middle of training for a SEN, early years practitioner teacher position. The confidence I built up at All Saints has helped me to answer questions in classes, go to the front of the class and give a presentation while also revealing my passion for slam poetry and saying it in front of loved ones and class mates which I never would have done without the care and support of All Saints.
Thank you for everything.”

Josh Warner-Taylor
Joining Lessingham in year 10, I never really saw myself as much of an academic. I always struggled a lot in the classroom with things such as embarrassment of not knowing as well as a terrible fear of trying and failing. This was until I found something I had a genuine interest and curiosity in. It was when I found philosophy (in my case) I went from not seeing myself as much of academic to it being something I wanted to take further than just the classroom. The fears and embarrassment I once had in a classroom became obsolete and completely overpowered by the curiosity I had for a topic that grasped me so much… aided by the great teacher that I had!
After Lessingham I attended Paston college and Norwich city College to study Philosophy, History and Criminology. Twice a week I would go to Norwich and the rest of the week, Paston. I achieved the grades to get into Essex University, which was my first choice due to recommendations from my philosophy lecturer at city college (and due to its great humanities department) It was probably the best decision I could have made. It was a no brainer for me to go and continue my academic exploration further into philosophy at Essex.
At Essex university I went onto achieve results I never thought possible back in year 10! I graduated with a first class degree with honours and the Barabara Crawson award for best performance in my department and the External Examiners award.
I never saw myself as someone who is good at english, maths, science or any kind of your typical book smarts. My parents were told when I was younger due to my dyslexia, to focus on more “creative” subjects, as I would struggle to succeed at academia… which is hilarious if you could see my drawings… but despite others, as well as my own thoughts, once I found that thing, the thing that I myself saw and found value in, the rest all followed. For me it was philosophy but obviously it won’t be the same for you necessarily. Don’t let others or even yourself tell you what you are capable of doing. As when you find that thing that clicks or you’re truly passionate about everything else will follow.

“After leaving All Saints Lessingham, I went to college to study Games Art level 3 and progressed onto a BA hons degree in Games and Animation. I am currently now enrolled at Escape Studios in London doing my masters degree in 3D Animation. My future plans are to work in the film or gaming industry creating animations for people to watch and enjoy.
My time in All Saints was amazing. I made some really good friends and the teachers were amazing. I remember taking my English Speaking exam and my topic was Animation and memes.”
